Released From Religion

“But now we are released from the law. Having died to that which held us captive, that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.” Romans 7:6

Once Jesus died on the cross, carried the weight of the world’s sin, and the veil was torn, we then became released from sin, bondage, and the need of religion.

Jesus was thinking of you when He died on that cross.

“Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:4

This verse surprises me every time with the amount of weight it holds. When Christ died for the sins of the world, He overcame the world for us, so that we have the ability to carry that same resurrection power when shame and guilt begin to creep in.

We are not separate from Christ anymore. The same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead, lives in those who believe in Him. There is resurrection power in our veins!

When sin was cut off, we also share that. We are given the gift of grace- completely removed from our sin and its iniquities.

14 Promises of living and walking in the resurrection life:

  1. Sin no longer has dominion

  2. Shame no longer has dominion

  3. Death no longer has dominion

  4. Set free from guilt

  5. Set free from bondage

  6. Accepted in eternity

  7. No longer chained to the flesh but in the spirit

  8. No longer under the old law but under the law of grace

  9. Fully set free from sin

  10. Given the gift of the Holy Spirit

  11. Fully alive in Christ

  12. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus

  13. Given a resurrected body

  14. Complete permission and power to enter the throne room of God

“You also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised form the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.” (Romans 7: 4)

Jesus is full of freedom, grace, and life. Jesus died on the cross to resurrect our spirit, soul and body.

Jesus has delivered this body associated with death!!! He is resurrecting us back to life again!
