You hold more authority than you know

Evangelism may seem intimidating to some and others may just avoid it overall, but I have good news, we have the best evangelist by our side- the Holy Spirit.

God knows more about the person you run into on the street more than anyone in the world.

He knows their pain, struggle, dreams, and passions.

He can give you a download of how to speak to them directly through the eyes of heaven.

A couple things to keep in mind, as you walk out the door of your house:

If you believe in Jesus, you automatically

  1. Carry the presence of God.

  2. You carry the peace of God.

  3. You have spiritual & earthly authority

  4. What Jesus carried, you carry.

  5. All authority in heaven is yours.

  6. That means you can bring heaven with you wherever you go.

  7. Ask and you will receive.

Want the gift of prophecy? Ask.

Want the gift of healing? Ask.

Want supernatural boldness?

You got it. It’s yours. Your Heavenly Father will gladly give it to you.

Matthew 10:8 says, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”

What Jesus carried, healing, signs and wonders, He has given us the keys to the kingdom to do the same!

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” – John 14:12

Even if you don’t get a word of knowledge or a prophetic word right away, you can still speak love and honor over them and tell them your testimony. That in itself holds supernatural power where God can move.

Little nuggets of wisdom as you proclaim the good news: 1. The pressure is off of you.

2. Only God can move a heart.

3. It’s all about them having an encounter with Jesus, not religion.

4. God can use all personalities.

5. People aren't going to say no to blessing.

(People who want nothing to do with Jesus, you can still bless them- their family, job, business, etc..)

6. What you see in the natural when you are interacting with someone may be completely different in the spiritual. Their reaction might not align to what you see.

Quick testimony:

When I traveled to Wales in the UK several weeks ago, I gathered with a local church there.

We set up worship in the streets and others went out into the streets at the same time sharing the gospel.

I noticed two guys holding hands who were intrigued by the worship. (so it is safe to say the two men were in a relationship)

As I made conversation with them, I felt a prompting to apologize to them how the church as a whole may had treated them. I shared with them about Jesus and how he wants a relationship with them and that God is closer than their very breath.

As I was apologizing them, I felt the Father’s love for the two men in that moment and began to cry as I asked for their forgiveness.

Even though, I specifically did not hurt them with my words, the connection of me calling myself a Christian may have triggered something. They needed to know and experience the Father’s love.

After I shared that with them, they were shocked that I apologized to them. They ended up giving me a big hug and didn’t let me go.

In that situation, the Father's peace and love was shown through me.

That is what you call an encounter. They experienced the Father’s love, an encounter, not religion or a set of rules.

One thing to take away as you live a life of loving people, is that you are a part of advancing the kingdom of God.

It doesn’t have to be complicated sharing the gospel. It can be simple. Take the Holy Spirit with you. He is always with us but he likes to be invited.

It can be a lifestyle of advancing the kingdom of God everywhere you walk.

Walk in confidence that you carry the living God inside of you and that God chose you to awaken sons and daughters into their true identity.
